BIO:
Born in Montpelier, Vermont, Dan Robertson is a third generation painter following in the footsteps of his grandfather Lloyd Hulbert and mother Babs Robertson. It is also from them that he has acquired his passion for art, antiques and family wisdom.
He shows nationally in galleries across Massachusetts, South Carolina and Florida where his work has been shown & purchased in muesums, galleries, national publications and commissioned by collectors.
He currently works out of his studio in a converted garage in rural Ohio.
Dan works on a variety of mediums including canvas, wood and metals. As he works on several pieces at once, his irreverent sense of humor and unexpected insights along with advertisements, stamps and other vintage materials – are painted, nailed, glued, shellacked or scratched onto the various canvases.
Commissioned work often contains mementos from the buyer’s own history.
